Valentine's Day

The IB was preparing full time for the arrival of the 14th of February, since the Valentine's Day Disco was scheduled for the day, this event was to be a fund raiser for a charity that trains guide dogs. My job was to make a Valentines' box, into which people would put their Valentine's Day wishes to their Valentine, it was just a regular FedEx box, which, with the help of several people, turned into a proper pink Valentines' box. Through this activity, which was organized and initiated by our group, we learned how to work collaboratively with others, we have undertaken new challenges and developed new skills as well. On the 14th of February, the IB went around going around school and preparing for the event to come just after the school day. Just before the end we went around handing out Valentines' Cards, along with flowers and chocolates, afterward we joined in the fun, the disco lasted for 3 hours in total and throughout the whole day, including the 3 hour disco, we managed to collect over 30 000 rubles for charity. Through this disco we have shown that we have considered the ethical implications of our actions and engaged in issues of global importance as well, since we try to help those in need by contributing to charity programmes and aiding them financially.
